WHAT IS CROHN'S DISEASE ?

DEFINITION

  • Crohn's Disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that affects the gastrointestinal tract.
  • It can affect any part of the digestive system from the mouth to the anus.
  • It most commonly affects the end of the small intestine (ileum )and the beginning of the colon.

Types of Crohn's disease

  • Ileocolitis : This is the most common type affecting the end of the small intestine (ileum) and the beginning of the colon (cecum).
  • Ileitis : In this type only the ileum is affected.
  • Jejunoileitis : This type involves inflammation in the upper half of the small intestine (jejunun) and the ileum.
  • Gastroduodenal Crohn's disease : This type affects the stomach and the beginning of the small intestine (duodenum).
  • Crohn's colitis : This type affects only the colon.
Causes of Crohn's disease
  • The exact cause of Crohn's disease is unknown.
  • Other factors including:
  • Genetics
  • Immune system dysfunction
  • Environmental factors such as diet , smoking and certain medications increase the risk of developing crohn's disease .
Symptoms of Crohn's disease
  • Fever
  • Fatigue
  • Diarrhea
  • Weight loss
  • Blood in stool
  • Abdominal pain
  • Loss appetite
  • Mouth ulcer

Other signs and symptoms

  • Kidney stones
  • Anemia
  • Delayed growth
  • Eye inflammation
  • Joint pain
  • Inflammation of the liver or bile ducts

     1. Detox Premium Powder

These herbal sachets are prepared from ingredients such as Shankh bhasma, Sutshekhar ras, Parvalpishti, Shukta, Giloy, Kamdudha ras, Shvetparpati that gives calming effect on the stomach.

  • Kamdudha ras: This ras reduces heat, burning sensation, epigastrium tenderness, irritability, heartburn, and acidity.
  • Shwet parpati: It is also effective in acidity.

Recommended Dosage: Take one sachet twice daily.

  1. Kutaj Ghan Vati

Kutaj Ghan vati is purely herbal formulation. It is very useful in curing diarrhea, intestinal infection, and dysentery. These herbal tablets deal with all signs & symptoms related to diarrhea patients. Kutaj ghan vati contains ingredients like Kutaj (Holarrhena antidysenterica), Ativisha (Aconitum heterophyllum) that manage the symptoms like abdominal pain, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, general weakness, fatigue, etc. The herbs in these tablets show antioxidant, anti-diarrheal, anti-inflammatory, etc properties.

Recommended Dosage: Take two tablets twice a day before meal with water.

  1. Digestion Support Tablet:

This tablet is unique blend of best digestive herbs like kutaz chal, bilav, dhania, mustak, shankh bhasm, piper mint, and dadim that maintain natural Ph balance in the stomach and aid digestion of all types of food. The herbs present in this control acidity, gas, flatulence and constipation.
