ANXIETY

Anxiety also referred to as anxiety disorder is an emotion of serious nervousness and fear which can be constant and or intense and is disabling in nature. It prohibits the person's ability to lead a normal life. The exact cause of anxiety is unknown , although it is believed to be associated with  genetics, environmental factors, known or unknown fear, etc. It can also be caused by a hyper active fear processing system of body.

Sometimes anxiety also causes panic attacks, where you feel suffocated or can't breathe or there's a feeling of less air around you. This can also be a result of phobias . It sometimes is also termed as extreme apprehension or worry to a stressful situation. Anxiety and stress are a part of daily life today. Although if you suffer from them doesn't always mean you require a psychiatric consult or medicines but if the condition persists it is advisable to consult a doctor. You need to condition your brain and emotions in such a way that you don't get overly anxious and afraid.

CAUSES

The causes can't be fully understood and certain life experiences such as traumatic events can often trigger anxiety disorders in people who are already prone to the anxiety. Causes can also be inherited and there can also be some medical causes which are linked to anxiety like:

  • Heart diseases
  • Diabetes
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • COPD
  • Asthma
  • Drug withdrawal or drug misuse
  • Alcohol withdrawal, anti anxiety medications over long time
  • Chronic pain or irritable bowel syndrome
  • Rare tumors which might produce fight or flight hormones

SYMPTOMS OF ANXIETY

  • The person who suffers from anxiety wants to be alone and has a feeling of tension and fear along with sometimes heaviness in chest. He allows the negative thoughts in his head easily and remains sad.
  • Shortness of breath, breathlessness, and sleepiness
  • There are negative thoughts all the time in mind
  • Headache and not doing work
  • Diarrhea, fever
  • The mouth becomes dry and the person becomes unconscious.

TYPES OF ANXIETY

Anxiety can be divided into following three categories:

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder: Some people have had traumatic experiences in past which makes them more susceptible to nervous ailments. If they experience an event similar to their past experience their anxiety gets triggered. Post traumatic stress disorder is in actual sense he nerves or anxiety that one feels when the person sees or experiences similar events as to their trauma.

Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder: People who suffer from this disorder have repetitive thoughts and behavior and are stuck in it. If it is left untreated this could disable a person's efficacy at work or in day to day work.  

Panic Disorder: When there is an increased sudden stress due to anxiety it is accompanied by breathlessness, chest pain and heart palpitations accompanied by fear. Sometimes, people who suffer from this anxiety have a severe phobia.

HOW AYURVEDA HELPS

In ayurveda, the cause of anxiety is imbalance of vata dosha. When the vata dosha gets imbalanced, it accumulates in our nervous system and the person starts experiencing nerves and restlessness along with insomnia, panic and fearful thoughts.

Pragya apradh is the cause of anxiety disorder. Pragya apradh is the caused by unhealthy adaptation of physical and mental things that creates mental imbalance. The improper diet and lifestyle causes disturbed state of mind and causes negative  feelings which overwhelm the mind. It results in obstruction of manovaha strotas which results in the imbalance of Vata dosha and hence causes the anxiety disorder. Some of the herbs useful in anxiety disorder are Ashwagandha, Vacha, Jyotishmati, Shankhapushpi, Tagara, Jatamansi, Brahmi, Haritaki, Amalaki

According to Ayurveda, stress occurs because of the imbalance of the three doshas – vata, pitta and kapha. There are various ayurvedic herbs which help in balancing of the doshas and relaxes mind. They give a soothing effect to the mind and keeps a person stress free.

ALL PRODUCTS DESCRIPTION IN DETAIL:

1. Vata Balance Tablet:

Vata balance tablet is a rejuvenating blend of herbs is specially formulated to balance Vata doshas without aggravating Pitta or Kapha doshas. It may be used to support overall health and well-being by Vata constitutions with or without food. For those with a dual constitution that includes Vata or a tridoshic constitution, it is an excellent formula for the Vata season, which in most parts of the world is autumn and early winter.

2. Brodley Syrup:

This syrup is prepared from the extract of various herbs that deal with the delusion, hallucination, disorganized behavior, lack of emotions, & inappropriate posture, etc. The syrup is prepared from herbs such as Shankhpushpi, Brahmi, Jatamansi, Ashwagandha, Shatavari, Saunf. These herbs show antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, immuno-modulator, & mind relaxant properties.

Recommended Dosage – Take 2 teaspoonful twice daily.

 

3. Stress care tablet:

It is an amazing combination of natural herbs like Sarpgandha, Brahmi, Tagar, jatamansi. It helps to relieve stress conditions. They help to pacify the nervous system and also help to increase mental and physical performance. In Ayurveda when there is an imbalance of three energies i.e. Vata, pitta, and Kapha, it leads to disease. Vata has a sub dosha named prana doshas which regulates the sensory perception, brain, and mind. Tarpak Kapha subtype of kapha, governs cerebrospinal fluid, sadhak pitta subtype of pitta doshas governs emotions and their impact on the heart. So any vitiation of these doshas leads to stress. It act as Anti-depressant, relieves Insomnia, Anxiety.

4. Brain Relaxant Churna:

This churna is pure Ayurvedic which helps to rejuvenate the brain cells, improves memory, give strength to the body, & increases the concentration by calming down the brain. It is prepared from herbs that show calming effect on brain and gives you relaxation. Brain relaxant churna shows antioxidant, Neuroprotective, carminative and anti-inflammatory properties. Ingredients present in this churna are Amla (Emblica officinalis), Sonth (Zingiber officinale), Pippali (Piper longum), Marich (Piper nigrum), Haldi (Curcuma longa), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Suddha Gandhak, Lauha Bhasma. 5. Mann Mitra tablet:

Mann Mitra tablet is herbal and purely ayurvedic medicine. It is used in Ayurvedic treatment for psychiatric conditions and help to balance all the three doshas of body i.e vata, pitta, kapha. CAC Mann Mitra tablet improves intelligence and speech problems. It is helpful for making the nervous system strong and nerves as well. It contains various herbs like Bala, Vacha, Shankhpushpi, Nagkeshar etc that help you fight insomnia, anxiety, and stress. It works as a antioxidant, anti depressant, immuno booster, anti epileptic and as neuro protective drug.
