- Haritaki also known as terminalia chebula , is a small to medium sized tree native to india and southeast asia. It is a drupe like fruit, oval in shape. Depending upon its variety, it turns green - blackish in colour when ripens. It tastes sweet, sour, bitter depending upon its types.



RASA : kshaya, madhura, amla, katu, tikta.

GUNA : laghu, rooksha.

VIRYA : ushna.

VIPAKA : madhura.

EFFECT ON TRIDOSHA : balances all 3 doshas (vata, pitta, kapha)
