Introduction

Heat stroke is called sun stroke in common language. This happens when your body cannot control its temperature. In case of heat stroke, the body temperature increases rapidly and is unable to reduce. When someone gets heatstroke, the sweating mechanism of the body also fails and the person does not sweat at all. If you suffer from heat stroke, the body temperature can reach 106°F or more within 10 to 15 minutes. If it is not treated in time, It can lead to death or organ failure.

Causes of heat stroke

  • Outdoor workers
  • Obese persons
  • Alcoholics
  • Standing in heat and strong sunlight for a long time can cause heat stroke.
  • Exposure of hot sun and hard work
  • When suddenly going from very cold to hot and from hot to cold environment
  • People suffering from skin diseases and diabetes are also more likely to suffer from heat stroke
  • Due to heat, there is a possibility of heat stroke if there is excessive deficiency of water and salt in the body.

Home remedies for Heat stroke

Coriander

Soak coriander in water. Then crush it well and filter it and add some mishri powder into it. Consume the mixture.

Tamarind seeds

Grind the tamarind seeds. Dissolve it in water and filter it through a cloth. Heatstroke can be avoided by drinking mishri mixed with this water.

Cucumber

It also works as a natural moisturizer in the body. Applying cucumber on the skin keeps the skin healthy in summer. Antioxidants are found in cucumber. Cucumber can be eaten as salad or even raw. Cucumber provides coolness to the body.

Onion

Raw onion is helpful in protecting from heat stroke. Make raw onion salad and eat it with food.

Lemon

Drinking water mixed with lemon and salt two-three times a day reduces the risk of heat stroke.

Mint and Basil

Mint and basil leaves have a very good effect on our digestive system. Make a solution by mixing the powder of both leaves and a little sugar in a glass of cold water. By drinking it in summer, the danger of heat stroke can be avoided.

Fennel

Fennel seeds have the ability to keep cool from inside. For this, soak some seeds in water overnight. Drink this water in the morning. This helps in getting relief from heat.

Sattu

Gram sattu has properties to protect from heat stroke in summer. Apart from keeping the stomach cool, it also cures many types of stomach diseases. Controls body temperature. If you take gram sattu mixed with water, black salt and lemon, It is beneficial for your digestive system.

Prevention

  • You should wear light cotton clothes with fill sleeves which can cover the entire body well.
  • Do not go out during the day. If you have to go out, you should cover your head, Neck and ears or use umbrella
  • One should take bath regularly in summer
  • Avoid overcrowding, heat, humidity, tapas and suffocating atmosphere
  • You should not to do too much physical exercise in summer
  • Drink curd, lassi, coconut water, lemon juice etc
  • Drink plenty of water
