What are Diseases spread from Mosquitos? What are the Ayurvedic and Herbal Remedies to treat it Naturally?

Diseases Spread by Mosquitoes & Ayurvedic Remedies

Mosquitoes are carriers (vectors) of several serious diseases. They transmit infections when they bite, injecting disease-causing viruses or parasites into the human bloodstream. These illnesses can range from mild fever to life-threatening conditions if untreated.

Common Diseases Spread by Mosquitoes

  1. Dengue Fever – Caused by the dengue virus, leading to high fever, severe body aches, headache, rashes, and in severe cases, bleeding tendencies (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever).

  2. Malaria – Caused by Plasmodium parasites, leading to recurrent fever with chills, sweating, fatigue, and anemia.

  3. Chikungunya – Viral infection causing fever, severe joint pain, muscle aches, and fatigue.

  4. Zika Virus – Causes mild fever, rash, conjunctivitis, and can lead to birth defects in pregnant women.

  5. Japanese Encephalitis – A viral brain infection leading to fever, headache, confusion, and sometimes seizures.

  6. Yellow Fever – Rare in India but common in tropical regions; causes fever, jaundice, and bleeding.

Ayurvedic Perspective

In Ayurveda, these diseases are seen as “Aupasargika Rog” (communicable diseases) caused by external pathogens, often aggravated by Pitta and Vata imbalance. Fever is termed Jwara, joint pains as Sandhi Shoola, and weakness as Daurbalya. The focus is on strengthening immunity (Ojas), reducing fever, detoxifying the body, and balancing doshas.
